JUKE BOX MEMORIES

Vince welcomes visitors to his site

When I launched my first Vince Eager web site I had no idea as to the impact it would have on my life.

The friends, musicians and fans who helped make up the first 10,000 visitors to the site have overwhelmed me by simply being out there. From Hawaii, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, South Africa the list goes on. It's been a wonderful response.

Due to most of my personal memorabilia being stolen in a burglary, many people have responded by donating photos, newspaper articles, records etc and the response has been so overwhelming it has prompted me to redesign my website.

I have included a page on Lonnie Donegan. Without Lonnie much of our great British pop legacy would not be in place. The inspiration he offerred will never be equalled and he deserves a place in the hearts of all who love music.

My most recent project, my book, 'Vince Eager's Rock 'n' Roll Files', has far exceeded my expectations and has been greeted in a manner which I could only have dreamed of. The response from the critics and the public could not have been more encouraging. It is now in it's third print and has also recently been published in hard back large print by Magna Publishing.

Thanks again for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy your visit.

Best wishes,
Vince

What the critics say

Eager's book is a priceless worm's-eye view of the dawn of UK rock.
Danny Eccleston: MOJO Magazine

Vince Eager has a tour bus full of tales to tell, and tell them he certainly does in this sparkling collection of wit, wisdom and wonderful insights into the crazy world of pop stardom. If ever there was a showbiz book to savour, this is the one.
Harry Whitehouse: Newark Advertiser

'A 230 page gem. Pick a page and you'll never put it down'.
Brian Martin: Stamford Mercury

'Vince really does relate it all as it was, the highs, the lows, the dissapointments, the heartbreak, and the funny bits, it's a different style of believable autobiography, natural flowing, that helps the reader relive scenes not reported before.
David Parker: The Beat Magazine

'Vince Eager's Rock 'n' Roll Files undoubtedly succeeds in its aim of providing a coffee table style book that through tales, photos, and cartoon drawings recounts what it was like to be one of Britain's pioneering pop idols'.
Chris Woodford: Now Dig This Magazine

'Hilarious!... a wonderful collection of tall tales'!
Andy Smart: Nottingham Evening Post

'Brilliant'!
John Pinchbeck: The Grantham Journal

'The answer may well be that he was collecting more material for his book, because he has so many funny stories and anecdotes from right the way across his career that should he decide that writing rather than singing was his true metier, then I will be in the queue for his next book'
John Howard: UK Rock Magazine

'A must for everyone interested in popular music, Vince Eager's 'Rock'n'Roll Files is a wonderful collection of anecdotes and stories about all the big names of the rock 'n' roll era plus loads of unseen photos, posters of early shows and, not least, some brilliant cartoons by Graham 'The Hit Man' Fowell. Beautifully produced in a glossy paperback edition, at only £11.99, it's a snip.'
Ron Ellis (Champion Newspaper Group)

'Vince's book is a delight for fans of pop nostalgia'.
Peter Grant (Liverpool Echo)
